Entergy Arkansas Awards $20,000 to Give Students a Jump on Academic Success

Entergy Arkansas recently awarded $20,000 to the University of Arkansas Foundation, Inc. The grant will help fund this year’s Learning Institute and Opportunities for New Students (LIONS) program at the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff.

Earlier this year, Congress passed the Tax Cut and Jobs Act. Governor Asa Hutchinson then requested prompt action by the Arkansas Public Service Commission to pass that benefit on to customers as quickly as possible. As a result, in April 2018, customers began seeing a credit on their Entergy Arkansas bill as line item “Tax Cuts & Jobs Act Credit.”
