Entergy continues to monitor the disturbance located off the coast of Florida as it moves toward the central Gulf of Mexico.

Entergy is committed partnering with organizations, like Start the Adventure in Reading based in New Orleans, to help ensure that all our customers – even the youngest – have access to a quality education. Nonprofit community partners, such as Start the Adventure in Reading, were recipients of more than $1.3 million awarded by shareholders through the Entergy Charitable Foundation’s first round of grants in 2019.

When it’s hot outside, we want it cool inside. But trying to keep your cool in the dog days of summer can take a chunk of change out of your pocketbook. Even though Entergy has some of the lowest rates in the country, using a lot of electricity – which most people do in summer – can lead to high bills. After all, air conditioning and heating account for as much as half of your monthly bill.

Entergy Louisiana is pleased to announce that the St. Charles Power Station commenced commercial operation on May 23. The 980-megawatt power station is one of the cleanest natural gas-powered plants in Entergy Louisiana’s fleet.

Hurricane season starts June 1. And although slightly below-normal activity is predicted this year, we know that it only takes one storm to affect our customers. Entergy is ready to safely and quickly restore power should a tropical system head our way.

The calendar may say summer hasn’t officially started, but the heat is ramping up! Now is the time to take some simple steps to help minimize the impact sizzling temps can have on your energy bill before summer is in full swing.

As of 5 p.m. Monday, May 13, Entergy Louisiana restoration crews have restored power to all customers who can accept it. Entergy crews remain in the area to assist with completing local service-related work, such as new installations, temporary disconnects and reconnects from storm damage and debris clean up.

Entergy Louisiana restoration crews expect to restore power to all customers who can accept it by 10 p.m. Monday, May 13. Additional crews have been brought in to assist with restoration work in all areas.

Entergy Louisiana crews are continuing storm restoration efforts in north Louisiana, bringing in additional crews to help restore power to all areas in the hard-hit parishes of Jackson, Bienville, Winn and Natchitoches.
