Entergy Arkansas, Inc. will discontinue its efforts to identify potential routes for the Happy Valley Transmission Project, a project that was designed to provide continued reliable electric service in the west and central regions of Entergy Arkansas’ energy network.

All line workers with Entergy Arkansas go through a comprehensive four-year apprentice program that has been developed in partnership with the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers.

John Bethel has been named the director of public affairs for Entergy Arkansas, Inc. He replaces Paul Means, who retired after 37 years at Entergy Arkansas. Like Means, Bethel’s primary area of responsibility will be at the State Capitol.
