Significant rainfall and flash flooding continue to affect Entergy’s service territory. Jefferson, Orange, Galveston, Liberty, Chambers and Montgomery counties have been the most affected, with some areas receiving more than 20 inches of rain in the past day along with thunderstorms. As of 9 a.m. approximately 37,000 customers are without power.

Entergy Corporation has earned a place on the 2019 Dow Jones Sustainability North America Index. Entergy is the only U.S. electric utility in the sector to be included on the index for 18 consecutive years.
Entergy Mississippi collaborated with community partners to attract Continental Tire, the world’s fourth largest tire manufacturer and a $1.45 billion investment, to Hinds County. The plant will create 2,500 new jobs with an average salary of $40,000.

Entergy shareholders continue to provide funding and support for initiatives that help build stronger, healthier and more vibrant communities through the Entergy Charitable Foundation.
One of Entergy Arkansas' Business Development's biggest success stories, Big River Steel, a steel mill near Osceola in northeast Arkansas. A team of more than 100 Entergy Arkansas employees worked closely with BRS by selling the company land to build on, building infrastructure to serve the enormous electrical load, and working through dozens of customer needs as the mill ramped up to beginning production in early 2016.

For 12 years running, Site Selection magazine has named Entergy Corporation as one of the nation’s top utilities in economic development. The award is due in large part to the vital role Entergy played in supporting projects that resulted in nearly $13.4 billion of capital investment and the creation of more than 4,750 new jobs within the service territory in 2018.
