The stormy weather has left our service territory. Restoration continues for those customers whose power was disrupted by the storms.

Amid a pandemic, Entergy takes seriously the health and safety of our workforce, customers and communities. During the 21st refueling and maintenance outage, the River Bend Station team established some strong partnerships with local businesses outside normal refueling partnerships.

Our workforce is already restoring service where it is safe to do so in areas where the storms have passed.

As storms move across the state, heavy winds can knock down trees and power lines. Stay away from these areas, and report any downed lines as soon as possible. Prepare for potential power outages.

Entergy’s Louisiana companies are closely monitoring weather forecasts and preparing to respond to severe weather that may impact our area later this afternoon through this evening.

Entergy Mississippi is preparing to respond to severe weather predicted to strike our service area starting later today. The severe weather could include tornadoes, hail, damaging winds, flash flooding and lightning.

We have assembled and organized our workforce needed to restore service safely and quickly to our customers and will adjust our plans as needed to restore outages caused by these storms.

As part of our preparations, we continue incorporating needed precautions related to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Elise Moore, transmission engineer I, voluntarily joined Entergy New Orleans’ storm logistics team for the first time during Hurricane Zeta. To help support crews, she booked hotel rooms, provided meals and provided safe storage for nearly 200 lineworkers to leave their equipment and trucks overnight.
