Entergy Mississippi has opened a $16.6-million facility to serve as its hub for customer service, distribution operations and storm response in DeSoto County.
The Arkansas Public Service Commission has approved the Entergy Arkansas Driver Solar Project, a new 250-megawatt AC (or 312 MW DC) renewable energy plant developed by Lightsource bp, which will be located on approximately 2,100 acres near Osceola in Mississippi County. Driver Solar will be the utility’s largest solar facility, capable of generating enough energy to power more than 40,000 homes.
One-time bill credits, charitable contributions and weatherization efforts are just a few of the offerings provided to help ease the strain of higher bills caused by record temperatures this summer.
The $1.3M contribution will provide one-time $150 bill credits to qualifying customers.
