Entergy Mississippi has restored service to 8,500 customers who lost power when severe weather passed through our service area late Wednesday, March 17.
Stormy weather producing thunderstorms, heavy rain, hail, lightning and tornadoes struck Entergy Mississippi’s service area late Wednesday, causing scattered outages from Attala County to the Mississippi/Louisiana state line. About 1,673 customers remain without power, down from a peak of approximately 8,500.
Entergy Mississippi is preparing to respond to severe weather predicted to strike our service area starting later today. The severe weather could include tornadoes, hail, damaging winds, flash flooding and lightning.

Both Entergy Mississippi crews and additional workers are restoring power as quickly and safely as possible. We expect the majority of customers will be restored this afternoon.
