Principal attributes portion of school’s “A” rating to the company’s support
Team reaches more than 1,500 students and families with nuclear education
Entergy Mississippi has committed to contributing $250,000 over five years to help fund the renovation of the Gore Arts Complex on the campus of Mississippi College in Clinton and providing another contribution of $250,000 over five years to the Foundation for Mississippi History to support a new initiative by the Mississippi Department of Archives and History to transform the Historic Jefferson College campus in Washington, Mississippi.
In the first half of 2023 alone, Entergy Mississippi has provided more than $600,000 in shareholder contributions to organizations across its service area.
Years before Entergy’s low-income focus became a corporate priority, company leaders and employees in Mississippi had established a legacy of community service and customer support.
By mid-2020, Entergy had dedicated almost $3 million to COVID-19 relief efforts in its four-state service area and The Power to Care, which helps low-income customers pay utility bills.
Even though several lines had to be de-energized during the flood event, most customers never lost power because of the looped design of Entergy’s electrical system.
