Improving conditions are allowing our restoration workers to increase the pace of restoration for our customers still without power.
Following three waves of extreme winter weather, power supply availability has improved across our territory. Our reliability coordinator, the Midcontinent Independent System Operator, stated this morning the MISO system is steady and stable.
Restoration progress over the last few days has reduced the number of customer outages caused by the series of winter storms. A significant number of outages still remain in Louisiana and Mississippi.
A mix of ice and snow continues pushing through our service territory, causing new power outages for our customers in Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi and Texas.
The latest winter storm is affecting power delivery to our customers in all four states of our territory.
Thank you very much for your patience and your voluntary conservation of power.
Please continue taking voluntary conservation efforts, as we weather this extreme winter week.
As we continue managing restoration from the previous winter weather and low temperatures, we are preparing for additional winter storms to threaten our service territory on Feb. 17.
Our grid operator, MISO, notified our operating companies in Texas and southwest Louisiana to start additional power outages for their customers.
