Entergy New Orleans hosted its annual golf tournament at English Turn Golf & Country Club, raising approximately $150,000 for Entergy’s The Power to Care program, which is administered by the New Orleans Council on Aging. Entergy New Orleans employees, community members and corporate partners formed 41 teams to compete in an 18-hole scramble.
Entergy was recognized this year as one of the top 25 workplace giving contributors for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, donating more than $230,000 through the company’s employee payroll contributions across its service areas.
Entergy New Orleans and the Urban League of Louisiana have partnered to launch a career training program that bridges the gap between job seekers in underrepresented populations and career opportunities in the clean energy sector. Entergy New Orleans recently presented Urban League of Louisiana with a $25,000 check to support the workforce development initiative.

For the third consecutive year, Entergy served as the presenting sponsor of the New Orleans Area Habitat for Humanity’s 3rd Annual Pride Build. The event brought together local members of the LGBTQ+ community and allies to construct a home for an inspiring family in the Lower Ninth Ward neighborhood.
The Power Players program welcomed student-athletes from the Mississippi State University football team, with the goal of exposing them to the company’s landscape, intimately meeting with leaders, and discussing their journeys after graduation.
In the summer of 2023, Entergy New Orleans launched the Know Your Power pilot program, in collaboration with YouthForce NOLA. The innovative internship program exposes high school students to a variety of career paths within the energy sector.
