A line of severe thunderstorms packing strong winds, heavy rains and lightning struck Louisiana Monday, knocking out power to more than 37,500 customers at its peak. The storms hit North Louisiana the hardest. As of 6 p.m. Monday, June 24, approximately 5,950 customers in northern Louisiana remain without power.

Entergy Mississippi has restored service to more than 10,100 customers who lost power during last week’s storms.

Severe thunderstorms and high winds moved through the Entergy Mississippi territory, Thursday morning, June 20, causing numerous outages which peaked at 10,164 customers. Damage assessment continues, and additional resources have been brought in to assist in the restoration effort. As of 9 a.m., Friday, June 21, 8,063 customers have been restored. We will continue to work to restore power to the remaining 2,101 customers.

We will continue to work to restore power to the remaining 4,269 customers.

Entergy Louisiana is committed to the safety of our customers and employees. The company’s electric and gas operations is closely monitoring the water levels once the Morganza Spillway is opened.

As the Arkansas River reaches record high levels this week, Entergy Arkansas is responding with measures to protect both people and equipment in flooded areas along the river.

On a recent sunny and very muddy spring day, nearly a dozen Entergy Texas employees volunteered in the research section of the Trinity River National Wildlife Refuge, where thousands of trees are being planted.

Since the severe weather that blew through Entergy Texas service territory on May 10th, Entergy has restored more than 104,596 outages.
