Construction of the Searcy Solar power generating plant is about 42% complete. When the facility goes online by the end of this year, 100 megawatts of emission-free power will begin flowing from the plant’s more than 350,000 solar panels onto the Entergy Arkansas electric grid.

Entergy Mississippi has restored service to more than 79,000 customers who lost power during the recent tornadoes and severe storms impacting our service territory Tuesday, May 4.
All customers that can accept electrical service safely have been restored.
As of 6 p.m., 99% of customers impacted from the storm outages Tuesday have been restored.
Power has been restored to more than 65,000 customers since severe weather struck Entergy Mississippi’s service areas on Tuesday. Nearly 80,000 customers were affected by the wave of thunderstorms, lightning, high winds and tornadoes that caused widespread power outages.
As of 9 a.m., 95% of customers have been restored with 1,050 customers remaining down from a peak of 22,110 from Tuesday morning. Damages remaining include 115 broken poles, 244 spans of wire down, 122 spans of wire damaged by trees and limbs and 79 pieces of equipment remaining to be repaired or replaced.
