A round of thunderstorms with high winds and lightning moved through the Entergy Mississippi service territory today resulting in widespread customer outages.
Entergy Mississippi has successfully completed restoring power to all customers in whose homes and businesses could safely take electricity following Saturday night’s severe weather.
More than 91% of customers have been restored.
Entergy Mississippi crews, contractors, tree trimmers and scouts are working diligently to restore power following Saturday night’s severe weather system that caused widespread damages and a peak of 30,491 customer outages in the central and southern portions of our service area. As of 7 p.m., we have already restored power to about 26,000 customers.

No matter the season, severe weather has the potential to leave widespread damage and cause power outages. It’s why Entergy Mississippi is observing Severe Weather Preparedness Week (Feb. 9-15) and encouraging customers to do the same by making a plan.

More than 45,000 Entergy customers were left without power after the severe weather event Saturday night, and as of Thursday morning all have been restored.
