As of noon today, outages have been reduced from the peak of more than 42,800 outages to 2,653 outages.
As of 11 a.m. Tuesday, about 4,000 customers affected by the weekend’s storms remain without power, down from a peak of 38,300. We made significant progress yesterday and have brought in special equipment to help us access and restore damage in hard-to-reach areas.
It is estimated that 95% percent of the affected customers will be restored by 10:00 p.m. tonight.
Crews expect to restore power tonight to all but a small number of customers in the hardest hit communities of Claiborne and Webster parishes. Approximately 100 customers in Claiborne parish and 250 in Webster parish will be restored Tuesday.
As of noon today, power has been restored for nearly 29,700 Entergy Mississippi customers affected by Saturday morning’s storms. About 8,600 customers remain without power, primarily in our northern service area. We expect some customers to be restored by Tuesday evening, though some in the hardest hit areas will carry over to Wednesday.
As of 7 p.m., power has been restored for 25,300 Entergy Mississippi customers. About 13,000 customers remain without power, down from a peak of 38,300.
A line of severe thunderstorms with straight line winds has moved through Entergy’s service area causing approximately 54,500 outages across the state.
Crews expect to restore power by tonight to the majority of customers still without electricity in areas struck hardest by the violent storm system that swept across Louisiana Saturday.
