Hurricane Francine, currently a tropical depression, continues moving northeastward from Louisiana through Mississippi. At 7 a.m., we had approximately 10,790 customer outages in the southern portion of our Entergy Mississippi territory. Outages are expected to fluctuate throughout the day as the storm moves through our service area and, therefore, are subject to change based upon the storm’s impact.
According to the National Hurricane Center's latest forecast, Hurricane Francine will make landfall near Vermillion Bay as a Category 1 hurricane this afternoon. We anticipate this storm could have widespread impacts throughout our entire Entergy Mississippi service area and are watching to see how it may affect both our systems and our customers.
