Entergy’s workforce continues to make progress assessing damage to the electric system and safely restoring power for customers across Louisiana after a strong storm system brought high winds Wednesday morning.
Crews have restored power to more than 77% of customers within 12 hours of the storm’s initial impact.
Overnight thunderstorms caused extensive damage across Entergy Mississippi’s service area. Our crews have begun restoring power as soon as quickly and safely as possible.
Crews and contractors are assessing damages and working quickly to restore power where it is safe to do so. As of 11 a.m., approximately 73,100 customers in Louisiana were without power as the system was still impacting most of the state with the potential of more weather moving in behind it.
