Accounting, Organizational Health Expertise Added

NEW ORLEANS – Entergy Corporation (NYSE: ETR) today announced the election of two new members to its board of directors – Patrick J. Condon and Karen A. Puckett.

Pat Condon, 66, has a professional public accounting career that spans more than 40 years, serving clients ranging from public and private companies to municipalities and public sector entities.

Karen Puckett, 54, has 30 years of experience in the telecommunications industry, currently serving as President-Global Markets of CenturyLink, Inc.

"We are pleased to be able to add Pat, Karen and their respective expertise to our board of directors," said Leo Denault, Entergy's chairman and chief executive officer. "Pat's accounting background and Karen's experience adapting to a rapidly changing business landscape are two of many attributes that promise to benefit our owners, customers, employees and communities. I and other board members look forward to working with them both."

Pat Condon, a Frankfort, Ill., resident, spent more than 30 years at Arthur Andersen LLP and nine years at Deloitte & Touche LLP before retiring in 2011. He currently serves on the board of directors of Cloud Peak Energy Inc. and is chairman of the audit committee and a member of the nominating and corporate governance committee. He is also an independent director and chairman of the audit committee of Roundy's, Inc., a leading grocery company serving the Midwestern United States located in Milwaukee, Wis.

Condon graduated from John Carroll University in University Heights, Ohio.

Based in Monroe, La., Karen Puckett's career in the telecommunications industry includes roles at Contel Corporation, GTE Wireless, and BroadStream Communications. In her current role, she leads revenue-generating initiatives for CenturyLink in the United States and worldwide. Puckett has been at the forefront of CenturyLink's transformation from a local telephone exchange company to an industry leader in advance communications services. She helped lead major telecommunications industry mergers and acquisitions that have established CenturyLink as the third largest telecommunications company in the United States. Today, she is facilitating the company's ability to thrive in the new arenas of cloud, data hosting and managed services while maintaining its focus on operational excellence and financial strength.

Puckett holds a bachelor's degree from Indiana State University and an MBA from Bellarmine College in Louisville, Ky. She currently sits on the board of directors and Compensation Committee of Harte-Hanks, Inc.
