Powering Economic Growth on the Northshore

04/01/2019

Entergy Louisiana continues to perform distribution and transmission work on the Northshore to prepare for the new Robert substation.

The Fairview substation in Madisonville is being expanded and a new transmission line is being built to connect the Robert substation to the grid. The new transmission line will help meet electricity demand in western St. Tammany Parish. And once the Robert substation is energized in late spring, it will increase the flow of power to drive economic growth in eastern Tangipahoa Parish.

The Robert substation will relieve stress on other substation loads in the area — so customers will have power during the coldest and hottest days of the year. And Entergy Louisiana will be ready to provide power as new neighborhoods are built and new businesses call the Northshore home.
