AN OPEN LETTER TO OUR VALUED CUSTOMERS: WE ARE ALL IN THIS TOGETHER AND WE ARE HERE TO HELP

08/03/2020

Dear Entergy Mississippi Customers,

While the state continues to grapple with the health and economic impacts from COVID-19, as neighbors and fellow Mississippians, we want you to know that we are in this together and we are here to help. In fact, we are taking extraordinary steps to do everything we can to help our customers.

Entergy Mississippi has implemented an Enhanced Customer Assistance Plan that includes:

  • flexible options to extend time to pay with payment arrangements
  • waiving late fees if any
  • reimbursing credit/debit card fees from third-party payment services
  • allowing any customer experiencing financial hardship up to twelve months to pay their current bill and/or unpaid balances
  • giving residential customers the option to enroll in our Level Billing Program that will fold in unpaid balances along with their current bill to be paid or “averaged” over 12 months.

If you have a past due balance and have not contacted us, please do so. We can help you make payment arrangements, access fee waivers and take advantage of other enhanced customer assistance offers while they are available.

For your convenience, new self-service options are available to select the extended payment arrangement that works for you. Visit entergy.com/payarrangements, or select Deferred Payment on the Entergy mobile app. Or call 1-800-Entergy and follow our automated response system billing and payment menu.

Some customers have unique circumstances that may require special help. We encourage them to contact us at 1-800-ENTERGY for help with their unpaid balance.

We are also helping guide our customers, including low income customers, to federal, local and state financial aid while it is still available. You can access this information at entergy.com/covid-19/customer-resources/.

I urge you to be cautious. Scammers are taking advantage of the fear this pandemic has created, threatening disconnection of service and asking for immediate payment over the phone. Please know that we will never ask for your personal information over the phone or demand payment using money orders or gift cards. You can visit entergy.com/scams/ to learn how to protect yourself.

As time goes on, we will continue to monitor the pandemic impact in Mississippi and update our Enhanced Customer Assistance Plan as appropriate. We will also continue to communicate any changes to our plan throughout the process.

Together we have weathered many difficult times from floods to hurricanes, tornadoes to ice storms. Entergy Mississippi is committed to doing our part to help you navigate this uncertainty while we continue to deliver the clean, reliable and affordable electricity you depend on.

The weeks and months ahead will present many challenges. However, I remain confident that we will overcome COVID-19 together and be stronger for it. I hope that you and your family continue to stay safe and healthy.

Sincerely,

Lea Turnipseed
