Halloween Safety Reminder: Zeta Restoration Work

10/31/2020

Just two days after Category 2 Hurricane Zeta hit Southeast Louisiana, Entergy has restored power to over half of all customers who were affected and will be on the streets restoring power through the night with a workforce of 5,700.

Safety is our number one priority and we know that it’s parents’ number one priority for their children as well. We want to make sure everyone has safety at the forefront given this year’s unique challenges.

In addition to COVID-19 precautions and traditional traffic concerns during Halloween, parents should remember that this year we are faced with hurricane recovery as well, including debris, downed limbs and lines, and areas of limited power and lighting. Along with those circumstances, this will likely be the first time that widespread, heavy construction activities will be taking place in neighborhoods to restore power and lighting while children are enjoying their trick-or-treating.

Please be aware of your surroundings and:

  1. Keep your distance from our crews while they work, for their safety and yours.
  2. Stay away from downed lines and other electrical equipment. If you see one, call 1-800-9OUTAGE.

Safety reminders and the most up-to-date restoration information, including detailed restoration times, can be found on the Entergy Storm Center website.
