Get into the Swing May 13 at The Power to Care Golf Tourney

04/29/2019

Entergy New Orleans is coordinating its second annual The Power to Care Golf Tournament on Monday, May 13 at City Park's Bayou Oaks South Course. Presented this year by Burns & McDonnell, the tournament will be hosted by the New Orleans Council on Aging, which administers The Power to Care program in Orleans Parish.

"Our success last year proved that the golf tournament is a great way to raise money and awareness for The Power to Care," said tournament coordinator Demetric Mercadel, senior public affairs customer service specialist for Entergy New Orleans. “We’re hoping for strong participation again so that our program can help even more vulnerable people in the community.”

The Power to Care program provides utility bill-payment assistance for qualifying low-income elderly and disabled customers. Entergy shareholders double the impact of contributions by matching all donations, up to $500,000.

Friday, May 3 is the final day to register for the tournament. For more information, contact Mercadel at 504-913-6451 or dmercad@entergy.com.
